Treibhaus signals the red alert with Alarmstufe Rot

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Treibhaus - Alarmstufe RotLooong time, no updates… We’re sorry! As for myself, I’ve had so much fun with school and other things I haven’t really had time for anything. Hopefully we’ll be able to resume normal operations soon!

As Nadja previously posted, Treibhaus indeed is back with a new album. Titled Alarmstufe Rot, it will be released on November 3rd, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem as if you can preorder it anywhere yet. Also, the track listing hasn’t been published thus far. However, what we do have is Treibhaus’s MySpace with two of the brand-new, ass-kicking songs for you to check out!

Fanoe’s Empire Dirt available as a free download

Fanoe Empire Dirt

Greg told you all about Fanoe’s second album, Down to Heaven, but if you haven’t checked them out yet, now’s your chance to get a taste of what the Swiss industrial-rock group have been doing. The first album, Empire Dirt, is now available in its entirety as a free download, along with two tracks from Down to Heaven. Head on over to the download area of the site and choose between 320 and 192kbps mp3 packages. If you like what you hear, the albums are available at cdbaby, iTunes and cduniverse among other retailers, or consider making a donation to support the band directly.

Eisbrecher’s Sünde: US release delayed

Eisbrecher - Sünde

Dancing Ferret Discs had been set to release Sünde in the US on August 26, but unfortunately this will not be happening, presumably as a result of the plans to shut down DFD’s operations. No new North American label or release date has yet been announced by Eisbrecher’s management, and at this point, there will likely be a delay of at best several months before a US version is on the shelves. Import versions of both the single and the album will however be available through IsoTank and amazon.com, or for download from iTunes and amazon. The German release is unaffected and still on schedule for release on August 22.

A new Treibhaus album out in October?

Last October, Treibhaus announced that they had begun work on their third album, Alarmstufe Rot. The other day, there was a brief mention on the band’s myspace page that the album would be released this October. This has not yet been confirmed and the note has since been removed, but it sounds like a reasonable timeframe.

UPDATE:

Curt from Treibhaus recently sent out a newsletter with more details on the album release. Recording and mixing is done, only the mastering left to be done. He reported they are on track for a late October or early November release.

New songs and a new bassist for Treibhaus

Treibhaus

Treibhaus just announced that they have a new bass player. Klaus Alberti will be replacing their old bassist Ulli Wellhausen, but there doesn’t seem to be any hard feelings. The band wished Ulli all the best luck in his future endeavors. In their newsletter, the band also said they are already working on new songs for what will become their third album. The members of Treibhaus must have some kind of unstoppable musical energy inside them because they are pumping out music incredibly fast. Their debut Unsterblich came out in 2005 and then their second album Feindbild was just released last year. That’s pretty impressive, especially considering the music is pretty good.

If you’re in Germany, be sure to catch Treibhaus live on stage on November 10th in Ingolstadt. They will be opening for Megaherz who will be playing for the first time with their new lineup.
