Krieger’s debut album delayed?

Krieger

Krieger is a new metal band from Dresden that just happens to be using Pilgrim Management, the same management firm that Rammstein is with. But the similarities between the 2 bands don’t end there. Krieger’s debut album was supposed to be released next week on August 24th, but it looks like it has been pushed back to September 28th according to several online webshops. They’re using the same album formula that Rammstein always uses, too, with 11 songs expected to be on the album. And what do you know, there’s a limited edition digipack version that will be available as well.

OK, so Pilgrim is using their experience with Rammstein’s success for their newcomer Krieger. Can you blame them? What really matters is the music, and it’s great. You can listen to 3 songs on the Krieger music player (also available on the band’s MySpace page) and judge for yourself.

Also, be sure to check out the Krieger Shop which just opened last week.

Till Lindemann sings David Bowie

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Although Apocalyptica is from Finland, they have worked with a few German musicians over the past years and have become quite popular among German music fans. Almost 2 years ago, Apocalyptica remixed the Rammstein song “Benzin”, and now Rammstein is paying them back for their favor. Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann will be a guest singer on Apocalyptica’s new album Worlds Collide which will be released on September 17th. But what’s more interesting is that the song Till is performing on is a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes/Helden”. This is certainly something to look forward to!

For a detailed description of Worlds Collide, check out this post in the Apocalyptica forum (scroll down for the English translation).

Emigrate album cover

Little by little, more information about the new solo project of Rammstein lead-guitarist Richard Kruspe is making its way onto the internet, although not much has been officially confirmed. We do, however, know that Emigrate will be released on August 31st, and we now also know what the album cover will look like. It’s pretty cool, kind of reminiscent of Witt’s Bayreuth III cover. For a bigger picture and links to pre-order the album, check out Emigrate.eu.

Rammstein - Summer 2007 merchandise

As we posted before (and are now re-posting because the original post was lost), the latest Rammstein newsletter announced that there are now many new items available for purchase in the Rammstein Shop for the Summer 2007 season. Among the new items is a new messenger bag, a Völkerball-themed Zippo lighter, and a leather belt with a Völkerball-themed buckle. As for new clothing products, there is a cutely designed Engel T-shirt for children, as well as my personal favorites, the return of the Du Hast “flaming man” and Live Aus Berlin logo T-shirts.

Check out RammsteinShop.de for all the available merchandise. And for American fans looking to save money on shipping, check out the US Rammstein shop on MusicToday.com. The US shop has less of a variety, but it’s possible that new items may be added in the future there as well.
