Endanger - Revolt

Endanger’s 4th studio album Revolt was supposed to be released today, but it looks like it has been delayed a week making the new release date May 16th. The album, which appears on Infacted Records, has 11 new songs including “Times Are Changing” which features Chandeen’s new singer Julia Beyer. (Check out Chandeen’s latest album here, if you don’t remember them.) There is also an additional remix of this song at the end of the album.

Head on over to Endanger’s MySpace page to hear a few of the songs from Revolt (in full length) and a pair of older ones. Then, if you like what you hear, you can order the album online at either Infrarot.de or AlphaMusic.de, both of which have it for 15.99 Euros. A bit closer to home for my American friends, Isotank.com has the album available to pre-order for $16.99.

If you’re the gambling type, you can try your chances and enter to win one of 5 copies of Revolt that the band is giving away on their website. Just visit Endanger.de to find out how to enter the drawing.

And finally on a related note, Nilaihah Records released an American version of Endanger’s last album Addicted To The Masses and Dancing Ferret released their album Motion from 2000, so we may possibly see an American version of Revolt emerging sometime in the future. I’m not sure yet, but I will investigate.

Chandeen - Teenage Poetry

Chandeen was a fairly successful electro-wave band during the ’90s and continued on up until 2004 when the band split up after releasing their last album Echoes and the retrospective Pandora’s Box. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the band reunited just last year with Harald Löwy who was the primary musician from the original lineup, their other musician Mike Brown, and a new singer named Julia Beyer. The band spent the next few months working on their comeback album Teenage Poetry and will be releasing it this Friday, March 28th. The album will have 11 songs sung by Julia plus an additional hidden track with vocals performed by Lovespirals singer Anji Bee.

Chandeen’s MySpace page has a nice 8-minute medley of music from the new album. I also included their video to the song “Welcome The Still” below the tracklisting. If you like Chandeen’s music, you can find it online in Europe on AlphaMusic.de for 13.99 Euros, among plenty of other sites. The album will also be sold over here in North America thanks to Projekt Records. The best prices here are from Projekt’s own webshop where it’s currently on sale for $13.98 or on Isotank.com for a penny more.
