About GERMANIACdotcom
GERMANIACdotcom is a blog dedicated to promoting German music to the English-speaking world, especially in North America. There are 2 main ways we do this: First, we want to keep you up to date with the latest news, album releases and tourdates of your favorite German bands. Second, we want to provide you with a rich source of other information like album reviews and band biographies so you can discover new bands, too. And because we hate all the promotional fluff as much as anyone else, you can be sure you’re getting honest opinions and straight facts about the music.
To get started, just read some of the recent articles on the main page or look through the bands and genres in the Categories menu for something that catches your eye. We hope you find this blog useful. If you’re a Germaniac, you probably will.
The GERMANIACdotcom Members
GERMANIACdotcom is run by a small group of people who are obsessed with German music (we call these kinds of people Germaniacs, if you didn’t notice). The site was originally created by me, Greg, in April 2007, but I have since been joined by 2 other Germaniacs who contribute content to the blog as well. As our content and popularity grow, I’m sure we will have more writers in the future, too.
So far, we have 4 members who contribute to the blog’s content.

Mini bio: I began listening to German music about 10 years ago and have been hooked ever since. Some time later, I went beyond being a fan. Since then, I have worked with several German-language bands for over 5 years designing their official websites, selling their CDs and merchandise to fans around the world, and of course working in the online German music community.

Mini bio: Something like six years ago Rammstein sounded bewilderingly new and different to a certain teenager. Nowadays this guy spends about 90% of all his money buying records, approximately 2/3 of them German, and then rambles about them to everyone with enough patience to listen. Much to the rest of the world’s horror, now he can ramble about them publicly on Germaniac!
