Sünde coverart, Monster tracklisting

Eisbrecher’s Sünde coverart is here, single tracks

Eisbrecher - SündeThe highly anticipated release of Eisbrecher’s third album Sünde is drawing ever closer, although it’s still about one and a half months until you can get your sinful hands on the CD. However, the coverart for the album has been showing up in various places, and there you have it on the left for your viewing pleasure (click for a slightly bigger picture). Like the cover for the soon upcoming single Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein?, it’s quite a departure from what you might have expected. You can already preorder the album (and the single) at various places, information on that can be found in the earlier newspost on the matter. As for some further information on the single Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein?, Infrarot.de tells us there’ll be three tracks: along with the title song there’s a remix and an exclusive, non-album track.

Oomph! Monster tracklisting, possible release date

The tracklisting for the other huge German metal release this August, namely Oomph!’s tenth album Monster, has been floating around the internet recently. I can’t say for sure if it’s the real one, but I don’t see why it couldn’t be legit. It seems the previous single track Wach auf! will not be on the album, which I think only makes it more believable (Wach auf! was featured on the Alien vs Predator 2 film and the single was released shortly after the film). Also, EMP.de tells us that the release date for Monster would be 15th August, but as often is the case with release dates given by retailers, it’s more or less likely to change. Here’s the tracklist:

Definitely not digging the cover…but maybe I’ll get used to it. I didn’t actually mind the single’s cover, so maybe..

  2. Valtteri Says:

Yeah, I think something’s just off in there. It’s like it’s kind of cool, but… something just doesn’t work. Maybe, as you said, we’ll get used to it. The cover for the EU version of Antikörper was weird when I first saw it, but now I think it’s a damned cool and clever cover. I think the single’s cover is really stylish, maybe even a little bit KMFDM-like.

I think the cover concept is cool, but it looks poorly done, like an average photo and a snake with a cheap mirror effect. It has potential, but it could be so much better.

I completely disagree on the single cover. I think it is absolutely terrible, one of the worst covers I have ever seen.

the last I heard, there is no actual word yet whether or not the extra track (Herzdieb) on the EB single is going to be on the album or not, my guess (based on EB’s past history) is that it will be on at least the LE, but that’s just a guess. ;)

As for the artwork, I agree with Valtteri, but I am waiting til I have a copy of both CDs to actually look at up close. (And I wonder if there will be a different cover on the US version again…) Maybe it is because I am something of a comic book fan, but the art on the single conjures up several stories in my mind, and I think that makes it cool. I can understand that nothing is going to work for everybody, but I have DEFINITELY seen a lot of worse covers out there. :P I’ll have to show you my CD collection next time you are around, Greg. ;)

Another note on Monster — Oomph! are putting on yet another fan contest for this, now for a chance to be in their next video. They are really trying to get the public personally involved in #10…

  5. Dark Lord Says:

I quite like the cover, actually.

  6. Greg Says:

Nadja, I have plenty of CDs with really bad artwork, too. Yes, there are worse covers than the Eisbrecher single, but it’s pretty bad imo.

Amazon.de is showing tracklistings for Sünde, regular and LE now, and as I expected, Herzdieb is indeed in the tracklisting (for both actually). DAMN I wish I knew what the US release was gonna do, am I gonna have to order the LE from Germany to get Blut und Tränen (which one might remember was previously proposed as a title track, or at least the tour was originally named for it…)

‘This Is Deutsch’ is sung in German with a few english words thrown in. It’s a great song! One of my absolute faves. :)
