Germaniac has a new logo

For the past few months, I have been trying to figure out what I was thinking when I designed the first logo for Germaniac.com. I must have been in some kind of nautical mood because it resembled a life preserver and really didn’t fit the theme of this site. So I decided to remake the logo, and this time I made sure it actually looks like something you might see from a band. It also incorporates a letter “G” for Germaniac, naturally. What do you think? Do you like this new logo? Is it terrible? Post a comment and let me know. (If you can’t see it at the top of the site, try refreshing your browser.)

I think it’s rather nice, actually. To be quite honest, I didn’t even notice the site had a logo in the first place until I had visited here a bunch of times, so I guess it was a bit modest. The new design, on the other hand, is already a lot more easier to notice and identify with the big G and all. Well done!

Thanks, I’m glad you both like it. The old one was very simple, so I guess maybe people didn’t notice it so much. I think we’ll keep this new one for a while…

Hmm…I can’t actually remember the old one…this one seems fine though, it’s not my favourite logo ever, but it does symbolise the site pretty well.
