GERMANIACdotcom lives in 2008

Germaniac.com at the Berlin Wall

Now that the insanity of the holidays is behind us, let’s continue, shall we?

2008 is going to be a great year for German music. I am already looking forward to lots of album releases and even some American concerts that have already been planned. More info on all that to come soon. But first, I just wanted to let you know that the site is gearing up again, although you may notice a few minor changes over time. Have an awesome new year!

Ah, 2008. This is the year I’ve been waiting for. There’s albums coming from Megaherz, Eisbrecher, OOMPH!, Rammstein and Unheilig, and probably some other bands I don’t know of yet I’ll fall in love with during the year. And on top of all the German releases, there’s going to be a Laibach Volk DVD (at least), maybe some Turmion Kätilöt material if they manage to get a new label , a Sydän, sydän record, Stam1na (the last three are all Finnish bands, check’m out)… And on top I’ve still got a ton of older records to get. This is going to be a bit difficult for my wallet.

Yes, a very interesting year indeed. I’m looking forward to being able to follow all this and more on your awesome site, Greg!
