yelworC serves up their new album Icolation

yelworC - Icolation

In July, yelworC released a mini-album called Eclosion as a bit of an appetizer to the full-length they had planned. Jump ahead a few months and here we are licking our chops, getting ready for the main course, Icolation. This new album will be released on Friday, October 19th. 17 new songs add up to one very long and enjoyable listening experience, perfect for fans of other dark EBM acts like Leæther Strip or Wumpscut.

While some of the tracks may look familiar if you heard Eclosion, the few songs that have been carried over have also been reworked, hence the “version 2″ listings you see in the tracklist. The rest of Icolation is filled with brand new songs. You can listen to 10 samples from the album on AlphaMusic.de or listen to the first few songs on yelworC’s MySpace page. While they don’t have any songs from Icolation available there yet, the style is the same.

Icolation comes in a digipack format and includes a 24-page booklet filled with artwork by the Viennese artist Joachim Luetke. Luetke’s dark style has been compared with that of H.R. Giger, and he has done work for other bands including Kreator, Marilyn Manson, and Dimmu Borgir. Check out some of the galleries on his site, the artwork is fantastic!
