I featured the band X-Tractor in the Bio of the Week section last week in preparation for their upcoming album Gehirnkonflikt. Actually, I didn’t know the release date when I posted their bio, but I do now. Gehirnkonflikt will be released on October 5th on Twilight Zone Records. X-Tractor’s first album was slowly put together over the course of 10 years and is finally seeing the light of day.

The sound of the music on Gehirnkonflikt is pretty unique, I haven’t heard much that sounds quite like this. It’s like your typical industrial or rock music, but the sounds are downplayed, kind of strangely tuned and each note sounds almost like it’s fading away before it’s even played. I’m trying to think of some words to describe it, but I’m at a loss. Maybe minimal industrial rock? I don’t know… It’s interesting.
