It occured in the song "walking on dead steps" on the album "Auto Da Fe" (1983): "Angst Pop Krank Pop, Spring herauf Spring herunter". This term evolved to a genre description for industrial/noise/avantgarde-music which ist not that harsh or dissonant like noise/industrial but has some kind of a melody or "classic" song structures. “Angst pop” is a term created by the australian avantgard-band SPK in 1983.
