L’Ame Immortelle side project: Nachtmahr

Nachtmahr - Kunst ist Krieg

Not too long ago, Thomas Rainer of L’ame Immortelle started a new side project called Nachtmahr (not to be confused with the black metal band Nachtmahr). With Nachtmahr, Thomas strips out all the rock and gothic elements of his primary band and focuses solely on a harsh-EBM sound, much like Feindflug or Suicide Commando. Kunst Ist Krieg (Art is War) is Nachtmahr’s debut album and will be released on Friday, September 14th. It features 7 new songs plus 4 remixes. The CD will be available in Europe thanks to Trisol, but you can order it online in the USA from Isotank.

There are 4 full-length songs available on Nachtmahr’s MySpace page, which also seems to serve the duty of the official website as well. “BoomBoomBoom” seems to be the favorite so far, but I like all of them. And no, “Feuer Frei!” is not a Rammstein cover…

I did a little digging, and it turns out you were right Greg, this was sort of like an EP as opposed to a full length release, apparently Thomas Rainer regards Feuer Frei! as their debut release. Which also explains why it isn’t available on IsoTank anymore
