What’s going on with Mezire’s new album?
There seems to be some confusion about Mezire’s new album Corrosion Effects. Both their site and their MySpace page say the album was already released last week on August 17th, but all of the major retailers are saying that the album isn’t out until August 31st. (Does it matter what the band says if nobody is selling it yet?) It looks like only the Zero01One shop via their site actually has the album for sale yet. This is a poorly managed CD release, for sure.
OK, so what about the music? Mezire is described as “a very extreme and perfect balanced mix between power electronics, industrial and dark elctro sounds” according to their label. You’ll have to travel to the Media page of their site to find out what this combination sounds like. But I’ll give you a hint, it’s very harsh and noisy. Actually, it sounds a lot like what I’ve been working on with my own music project. But we run into a problem again. You still won’t find any music from their new album on this Media page. How do they expect to promote their new album without giving anybody a clue about what it sounds like. I’d love to hear something from it, but they don’t seem to want to sell any music. Shame.

Hello!
Here are some explanations for your “problems”:
1. We handled all the production/ pressing of that CD on our own. That’s why we were able to fix the release date on August 17th, when we played on a festival in Berlin. We don’t know why our distributor set that date on August 31st. Maybe they had a summer break or they don’t trust people like us to do something in time
After all, the CD is available on amazon since this week (so we think it should be available at the other stores, too)
By the way: http://www.zero01one.de is our personal shop, that’s why it was earlier (and much cheaper).
2. You are now able to prelisten three mp3s of the “Corrosion Effects”-CD at http://www.rustblade.com and at http://www.mezire.info. Of course all the other tracks will follow, too!!!
We changed our provider (to have unlimited downloads!), designed a completly new homepage, prepared our two gigs we play this month, we had to go to work and still tried to have a private life besides that in the last two month … so we didn’t manage to upload those mp3s in time … sorry

Thanks for checking out the site and clearing up some of these issues. It really helps to explain everything.
